Dog Collage Templates - pack 1

Have fun creating your own unique dog collage portraits by filling each shape with your own texture, colour and pattern.   

The pack contains 5 different multi-layer Dog portraits (Procreate and PSD files) which you can fill with any colour, texture or pattern you like to create your own unique Dog Portrait Collage. Normally, you would have to draw all the elements from a photo but the hard part is already done. I have hand-drawn all the dog shapes for you. All you need to do is fill the shapes. A bit like painting by numbers but with much more creativity because you get to choose whatever pattern, colour or texture you like, to make your portrait truly unique. Also, the files are fully editable. You can use your own textures and patterns or choose one from my growing library of pattern and texture packs. (Check out my Festive Wrap Pack 1 for starters!).

Each dog portrait template contains a multi-layered file lovingly hand drawn by me. Each part of the dog is on its own separate layer and coloured a different shade of black so you can easily see the different shapes. You’ll also discover how I make the eyes by studying the layer structure. To fill a layer, simply import your texture or pattern above the dog shape layer you want to fill and apply a clipping mask. Watch the Clipping Mask Intro video to see how to do this. It’s easier than you think.

If you’re just starting out with Clipping Masks, make sure you watch the Clipping Mask Video Demo. I’ve also included in this pack a handy Clipping Mask Practice Template to introduce you to the basics of Clipping Masks. The aim of this template is to give you as much practice as you need before moving on to the dog portrait files…so have fun with this! In the template, I have pre-filled the shapes with textures and pattern so you can see how the clipping masks work. Feel free to play around with the files. Don't worry about messing things up. This is your chance to play and practice before you move on to the Dog Collages. For example, you could delete or hide the existing pattern layers and introduce your own or use the sample patterns included with this pack. Have fun throwing some paint around too!

Once you’ve filled all the shapes, you will have your very own, unique dog portrait ready to print. The files are large enough to make a good size print for your wall or to turn into gift cards or whatever you wish.
